Earlier today, the Vice President arrived at Al Asad Air Base. There, he participated in an Operation Inherent Resolve Briefing by the Joint Task Force Commander and a phone call with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq. Following, the Vice President served a Thanksgiving meal and delivered remarks to the U.S. troops at Al Asad Air Base. Later in the day, the Vice President continued on to Erbil International Airport where he participated in a bilateral meeting with the President of the Kurdistan Region. Following, he delivered remarks and then served a Thanksgiving meal to the U.S. troops stationed there. This evening, the Vice President returns to Washington, D.C.
